ABSTRACT

Photo 1:

The elements of art and principles of design in this picture is mostly value because of the black and white in the picture. There is a contrast between a focussed foreground and a blurry background. Also line is a big element in this picture. The object in the picture is in the middle and creates a line through the whole picture.

Photo 2:

Value is again a very big element in this picture because of the black and white. Pattern is another element that is visible in this picture because of the same repeatable shapes in the picture. Texture is the last element because you can clearly see that the material I used is shiny and kind of a smooth metal.

Photo 3:

This picture is very focussed on the good parts of the picture. It makes the picture interesting because your eyes go immediately to the focussed parts of the picture and after that you look at the blurry parts and see the actual object in the picture (value). The can that I used for my photo is very shiny and that gives off the texture in the picture. Unity is the last one. The lid of the can fits perfectly on the can and that makes the picture one.

Photo 4:

Line and value are big elements in this picture. Because all the keys on the keyboard are in a straight line, it creates an abstract picture. Value because the picture is in black and white and contrast because the white letters on the keys of the keyboard are very obvious because the keys are black. An other elements is space because you can not see the whole keyboard, it is just a part of the keyboard and the top, sides and bottom are cut off to make the picture more like a unity and more interesting and not as busy.

Photo 5:

Value is again a big element in this picture because of the black and white. Line is an other element in this picture, the lines create the main point where you look at in this picture. The bird makes the picture a little bit more playful. Space is the last one, because the sky is the background. It gives the picture a really great background and the bird comes out very good because of the sky.

Inspiration picture:

I got inspired by this picture because of the black and white and the different shades of these colours. Also because of the shadow and the mysterious vibe that the picture gives me. It is a really simple and peaceful picture but at the same time it makes me think of a suspenseful movie or something mysterious. I love how the artist used the light in this picture. It creates beautiful shadows that I am obsessed with. The straight lines inspired me the most, and I think you can clearly see that back in the pictures I took because I used the element "Lines" in almost all of them.
